Dr. Denise Grundland, Psy.D., is a bilingual licensed clinical psychologist with a deeply rooted passion for psychology (PSY30302). Dr. G is currently working in the private practice sector and her office is located in Sorrento Valley. She completed her pre-doctoral psychology internship at the Student Health and Counseling Center of CSU San Marcos and her post-doctoral fellowship at the Family Recovery Center in Oceanside, CA. Dr. Grundland’s primary interests include: helping couples through Systemic-Constructivist couples therapy; working with children and their parents; supervision dynamics; and resilience training. Her dissertation was titled: The lived experience of long-term happily married heterosexual individuals. Her professional goals are to become the director of her own couples therapy center/institute, and to provide marital preparation workshops, trainings, and workbooks, basing the curriculum on her original research. For fun she enjoys dancing, singing, painting, going on hikes with her husband and two dogs, and watching “improv-comedy.”
