Dr. Denise Grundland, Psy.D., is a bilingual licensed clinical psychologist with a deeply rooted passion for psychology (PSY30302). Dr. G is currently working in the private practice sector and has office locations in Mission Valley, Del Mar, Clairemont, and Carlsbad, CA. She completed her pre-doctoral psychology internship at the Student Health and Counseling Center of CSU San Marcos and her post-doctoral fellowship at the Family Recovery Center in Oceanside, CA. Dr. Grundland’s primary interests include: Treating PTSD caused by severe child abuse, domestic violence, or sexual assault; Systemic-Constructivist couples therapy; supervision dynamics; and resilience training. Her dissertation was titled: The lived experience of long-term happily married heterosexual individuals. Her professional goals are to become a skilled supervisor, become the director of her own couples therapy center/institute, and to provide marital preparation workshops, trainings, and workbooks, basing the curriculum on her original research. For fun she enjoys dancing, singing, painting, going on hikes with her husband and two dogs, and watching “improv-comedy.”
